Friday and Saturday Homecoming Parking Updates |
As part of Homecoming festivities, UCF will host a fireworks display and commencement ceremony Friday, Nov. 5, and a football game at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6. Below are important parking and towing updates related to those events. |
Fireworks, Commencement and Spirit Splash |
To accommodate the fireworks display, Garage D and a few designated rows of Lots D-1 and D-2 will close at 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4. Vehicles in those areas must be removed by that time, or they will be subject to towing. Garage D will remain closed through Friday and will reopen Saturday for the football game. |
A portion of Gemini Boulevard between North Orion Boulevard and West Plaza Drive also will be closed between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. Friday. |
With the closure of Garage D, overflow parking will be available Friday in the grass Softball Lot, and shuttles will be provided. Faculty and staff who normally park in garages D and H are encouraged to park in garages B, C and I to avoid traffic delays. |
At 7 p.m., the Fireworks Festival will start, with the fireworks expected to commence at 9 p.m. Those on and near campus can expect loud noises, and those near Garage D and Memory Mall will likely see and hear the fireworks. Guests attending the Fireworks Festival have complimentary parking with a valid UCF permit or can purchase a virtual daily parking pass online. |
From 9 a.m. to noon Friday, the university will hold the commencement ceremony for 2020 graduates at Addition Financial Arena. Parking for this event will be in garages H and C. There also will be park-and-ride shuttles from the Softball Complex to the front of the Addition Financial Arena. |
From noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Spirit Splash will take place at the Reflecting Pond. The section of Apollo Circle between Millican Hall and the Reflecting Pond will close to pedestrian traffic at 7 a.m. for stage set up. Recommended parking is in garages A, B and I. |
If you have questions about Homecoming or the fireworks event, please call the Office of Student Involvement at 407-823-6471. More information about UCF Homecoming can be found on Facebook and @ucfhc on Instagram and Twitter. |
Game Day Parking and Towing |
Game day parking and tailgating will open on most of the main campus at 10 a.m. Students coming to campus may park for free on Saturday in garages A, B and I and in lots B5, B6, B9 and H4. Overnight parking also is permitted in those garages and lots for those who have the appropriate university permits. |
Athletics Gold Zone parking passes are required for garages C, D and F and lots C1-C3, D1-D2 and E1-E8. Vehicles in those areas without the required game day permits are subject to towing beginning at 5 a.m. Saturday. |
Overnight parking also is prohibited in Garage H and parking lot B4, which is reserved on game days for university business. The rear portion of lot B7 is reserved for recreational vehicles beginning at 4 p.m. Friday. |
UCF will operate student shuttle buses for all normally serviced apartment complexes with the exception of North View, Tivoli and Northgate due to their close proximity to the stadium. Shuttles will run continuously from 11 a.m. until two hours after the game ends. They are designed to only handle people with light carry-on items; there is no space for large items such as coolers, tents or lawn chairs. |
Students at the Downtown and Rosen College campuses can ride a 2 p.m. shuttle to the main campus. Shuttles leave the main campus to return to those locations at 8 p.m. |
For more information on game day parking, including park-and-ride and accessible parking, please visit the Game Day Website. |
East Plaza Drive will be closed at 2 a.m. Saturday. |
Gemini Boulevard North between East Plaza and West Plaza drives will be closed to vehicular traffic prior to and during tailgating. Gemini Boulevard North between Garage H and North Orion Boulevard will be closed to traffic from 2 to 4 p.m. and again from midway through the fourth quarter until two hours after the game ends. |
Beginning at 5:30 p.m., all North Orion Boulevard lanes will be dedicated to traffic exiting campus. No traffic will be able to enter campus via North Orion Boulevard. |
